摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new fluorescent substance, and to provide a spontaneously light emitting device, including a display device and a light source, given by using the fluorescent substance. SOLUTION: This fluorescent substance contains Mo, RE (RE is one or more kinds of Eu, Tb or Pr), and O as components and is expressed by general formula: (Mo, REx)Oy [x is a number of moles of RE and satisfies: 0<x≤5; and y is a number of moles of O and satisfies: 0<y≤(3x/2)+3]. Indium oxide, zinc oxide, or tin oxide is preferably mixed into the fluorescent substance as an electrically-conductive substance. The electrically-conductive substance is mixed thereinto in an amount w (based on an amount of Mo) satisfying: 0 wt.%<w≤40 wt.%, and preferably satisfying: 0.5 wt.%≤w≤30 wt.%.
