PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous coating agent forming a film excellent in water resistance and detergent resistance, and having an alkali-peeling property, without using a polyvalent metal. SOLUTION: This aqueous coating agent composition having the alkali-peeling property contains a polymer containing 5-50 pts.mass (meth)acrylic acid ester unit showing 3-20 g solubility in 100 g water at 20°C and without having an active hydrogen atom having hydrogen bonding property and 50-95 pts.mass vinyl monomer unit showing <3 g solubility to 100g water at 20°C, as constituting units, and also having≤40 mgKOH/g acid value, as a main component.
