PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alternative supplement fuel solidifiable at normal temperature, having high calorific value and produced by detoxicating harmful substances such as arsenic, mercury and chlorine in shredder dust and provide a method for producing the fuel. SOLUTION: The method for producing the alternative supplement fuel comprises the 1st step to crush combustible wastes obtained by removing inorganic materials such as metal, glass and ceramics from shredder dust, the 2nd step to add the 1st additive such as a polymeric liquid chelating agent for the detoxication treatment of heavy metals to the material crushed by the 1st step and knead the components, the 3rd step to incorporate the material obtained by the 2nd step with a reclaimed oil, waste tire powder, cement, zeolite powder and the 2nd additive such as a polymeric liquid chelating agent for the detoxication treatment of heavy metals and knead the components while adding a curing agent composed mainly of a lignin acid, and the 4th step to form the material obtained by the 3rd step by compression molding under a prescribed pressure.
