Piping leakage testing method involves setting the piping section to be tested under test pressure. The test pressures in the inspection room sealed by sealing units (A1-A3) and the reference pressure in reference pressure chambers (R1-R4) are monitored over a time interval for pressure changes. Another reference pressure in the pressure chamber which seals the measuring and test instruments pressure tightly is monitored. An independent claim is also included for a device for testing leakage in piping.
