An image display device (1) is provided with a power supplying part (3) for supplying power from a power supply (2); an image size converting part (4) including a plurality of image size converting systems having different power consumptions; a display part (12) for displaying an image whose size is changed by one of the image size converting systems; a measuring part (8) for measuring remaining power quantity of the power supply; and a selecting part (9) for selecting one of the image size converting systems in response to the remaining power quantity. Power consumption is suitably suppressed and operation time of an electronic device is extended by the image display device (1).
