A shovel loader has for the positive locking of its vertically-swingable, shovel-carrying boom arms 12 in a raised position a link 20. The link 20 is pivoted on and axially movable along a pivot pin 22 by which one of the arms 12 is secured to a tractor-mounted support structure 11. Thus the link can be slid onto a pin between the arms 16, 18 of a bucket-tilting linkage to prevent movement of the linkage and the boom relative to the tractor. When slid off said pin to allow of vertical swinging of the boom the freed end of the link is slid over thte pivot pin connecting the arm 18 to the structure so that the pin is retained clear of the path of travel available to the boom and the linkage. The link is retained on the desired pin by a retainer bolt being screwed into an internally threaded bore in the end of each of said pins. |
