<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic still camera enabling a user to acquire a desired image without requiring a large storage capacity. <P>SOLUTION: Image signals acquired before and after a shutter release via a CCD 2 are stored in a buffer memory 5 by executing a slow preview mode. Consequently, an image photographed by releasing the shutter at the best moment can be captured regardless of a reaction time of a photographer. Photographed images in thirty nine frames can be displayed by switching at a relatively longer time interval of 0.5 seconds. Accordingly, the user can select the image photographed by releasing the shutter at the best moment without being nervous about a reaction time, and can store the image signal corresponding to the image in a memory card 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
