<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for treating waste water, in which the predation of sludge by an animalcule is utilized, so that the amount of waste sludge can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for treating waste water is constituted so that the reaction of a microbe is advanced by aerating the water to be treated in a reaction tank 2 from the bottom thereof, a packing material bed 3 is arranged in the reaction tank 2, a collector 7 for collecting air and the water to be treated is arranged below the packing material bed 3 and an airlift part 8 for airlifting the water to be treated, supplying the airlifted water to the packing material bed 3 and circulating the water treated in the packing material bed is arranged in the collector 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
