PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for testing thermal shock which can properly maintain contact between face of a heating element and face of a cuboidal sample during testing, and enhance the accuracy in testing to obtain correct thermal shock values of the material. SOLUTION: In this device, a spring having a spring constant of 50-1,000 N/m is used to support the vicinity of both ends of a heating element so as to be pushed or pulled.
