PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brushless rotation detector such as a brushless resolver capable of reducing a loss of an eddy current flowing in the circumferential direction of a rotary transformer. SOLUTION: This brushless rotation detector 10 has a main constitution wherein a stator transformer 11 is provided with a plurality of grooves 12 in the radial direction. In the stator transformer 11 used as the rotary transformer of the brushless rotation detector 10, singularity or continuity as a magnetic material is removed, and an electric resistance in the circumferential direction of the rotary transformer is increased, and the loss of the eddy current flowing in the circumferential direction is reduce, by this constitution.
