PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection valve making assembly of the fuel injection valve easy by facilitating positioning and tentative coupling of a valve device and a retention member and improving accuracy. SOLUTION: This valve is provided with a first fitting part 7a provided on a valve device including a valve element 8 opening and closing a fuel injection opening 15 and a holder 14 including a second fitting part 2a connected to a solenoid device 2 driving the valve element 8 as one unit and fitting with the first fitting part 7a. A guide surface 41 guiding relative motion of the first fitting part 7a and the second fitting part 2a under insertion condition, a groove 43 having an O-ring 42 retaining a valve device 2 by a holder 14 installed therein under a insertion condition of the first fitting part 7a and the second fitting part 2a, and a press fitting surface 44 establishing a press fitting margin under a press fitting condition of the first press fitting part 7a and the second press fitting part 2a are provided on at lease one of the first fitting part 7a and the second fitting part 2a.
