PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reciprocation type coater in which setup work is omitted and which is operated even by a beginner. SOLUTION: The reciprocal type coater is constituted so that the operational state of respective servomotors 2, 2', 6, 8, 8, 8', 8', 14, 14, 14', 14', 16, 16' is previously derived experimentally to secure a coating surface having prescribed quality, the derived data is stored in a computer K and is displayed by a touch key P having symbols on a liquid crystal touch panel E and by pushing the touch key P, an operation directive signal to realize the operation state is sent to the respective servomotor 2, 2', 6, 8, 8, 8', 8', 14, 14, 14', 14', 16, 16' to carry out the prescribed operation.
