The invention relates to a lens table system for microscopes. The aim of the invention is to increase the mechanical stability using a compact, cost-effective construction, in order to counteract fluctuations in focus, caused by thermal drift or by the susceptibility to vibrations of the optical and/or mechanical microscope components. The lens (15) is held by a guide (14) that is configured in the table (1) and can be displaced in said guide (14) along an optical axis (0-0) running perpendicular to the surface of the table. The lens table system is particularly suitable for microscopes that are designed for automatic measuring tasks.
