The arm has a retaining unit (9) for removing a label (6) from a label dispenser. Two pressing units are movably supported, and exert pressure against each other. A product is operable together with the label between the pressing units. The pressing units effect pressing of a sub-area of the label initially under an outline of a product surface. The sub-area of the label is pressed together for forming a label banner.
