<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external reflection mode liquid crystal display device with which sufficient display luminance is obtained in a transmissive mode in which a light source is turned on and used. <P>SOLUTION: The external reflection mode liquid crystal display device 10 is equipped with a liquid crystal layer 1, an inversion prism sheet 6, a light guide plate 7 and a reflection sheet 8 laminated in this order, and is equipped with a light source 74 of light incident on the light guide plate 7. A groove portion 71 is formed on the reflection sheet 8 side surface of the light guide plate 7. The groove portion 71 constitutes a reflection surface 712 which reflects light incident from the light source 74 to a direction inclined with respect to the inversion prism sheet 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
