PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module using a flexible circuit board where emits less electromagnetic radiation by bending a bending part, with less deterioration of a reflection characteristic and an absorption characteristic and the reduction of band. SOLUTION: In the optical module having an optical sub-assembly and a circuit board on which an electronic circuit is loaded, the optical sub-assembly is electrically connected to the circuit board by the flexible circuit board 10 which is used by bending it. The flexible circuit board 10 is provided with an adhesive layer, a conductive layer and a resist layer on a core material. The conductive layer is a microstrip line formed of signal conductors 13a and 13b and a wiring line consisting of a ground conductor 14. In the bending part S of the signal conductor, conductor width d2 is formed wider than a non-bending part d1. The curvature radius R of the bending part S of the flexible circuit board 10 is 0.3 to 0.7 mm. A wider conductor width d2 is formed wider than other conductor width d1 by 0.05 to 0.25 mm .
