PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To start circulation by an initial start of a circulating pump without priming even when a self-priming circulating pump is not used by facilitating flowing of hot water from a return piping into the circulating pump when starting the circulating pump for the first time, and to prevent an error such as a failure of the circulating pump. SOLUTION: In the hot water supply device, a distributor 7 provided with an air vent valve 8 is attached to an upstream side of the circulating pump 6, and filling of hot water into the distributor 7 is facilitated before starting the circulating pump 6 to facilitate flowing of the hot water in the distributor 7 into the circulating pump 6. By this, loose rotation of the circulating pump 6 is prevented, and circulation by the circulating pump 6 can be started even without particularly priming the circulating pump 6.
