<p>Disclosed is a fluorine-containing copolymer obtained by copolymerizing a fluorine-containing vinyl ether represented by the following general formula: CF2=CFORfCH2OH (wherein Rf represents a fluoroalkylene group having 1-25 carbon atoms, a fluoroalkylether group or a fluoroalkoxyfluoroalkylether group) and having a terminal hydroxyl group and at least one other fluorine-containing unsaturated monomer. Among such fluorine-containing copolymers, those with high molecular weight having a melt viscosity (230°C) of 0.1-100 g/10 min are not soluble in solvents and suitably used for melt molding applications, while those with low molecular weight having a glass transition temperature Tg of not less than 20°C and a number average molecular weight Mn of not less than 1000 are soluble in solvents and suitably used in applications for coating material. The fluorine-containing copolymers have high light transmittance and low refractive index, and exhibit good adhesion to various bases by themselves without requiring a surface treatment or use of an adhesive.</p>
