<p>Apparatus (10, 30), for improving a golfer's swing during training, has a generally planar base board (12) with arcuate guide member portions (14-17) each supported in an upright condition at a respective mounting point (13) on the base board (12). The guide member portions (14-17) are arranged in two pairs so that a first pair (14, 15) form a first semi-circular guide member (18) and a second pair (16, 17) form a second semi-circular guide member (19). The two semi-circular guide members (18,19) combine to define the boundaries of an optimum swing path channel. The guide member portions (14-17) are each supported on the base board (12) by an associated bracket (27, 32) provided at the mounting points (13) which brackets (27, 32) permit rotation of the guide member portions (14-17), such that in use the alignment of the guide members (18, 19) can be varied. The golfer (11) can thus practise his swing by aligning a golf club (21) with the guide members (18, 19) and tracing the optimum swing path defined thereby.</p> |
