This invention provides a treatment method and treatment apparatus for a combustible gas in a waste treatment furnace, which can satisfy regulations of stack dioxins and can prevent troubles such as deposition on and clogging of a heat exchanger by removing dust in an optimal range a combustible gas produced in a waste treatment furnace. In this treatment method for a combustible gas in a waste treatment furnace (1), a combustible gas produced in a waste treatment furnace is led to a dust collector (5) to remove the dust to such an extent that the concentration of dust in the combustible gas is in the range of 0.02 to 0.07 kg/Nm<SUP>3</SUP>, and the combustible gas after dust removing is burned at an elevated temperature. The dust collected in the dust collector (5) is fed into the waste melting furnace through a tuyere (8) in the waste melting furnace (1) where the dust is burned at an elevated temperature and is melted.
