<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side airbag device attached to a seat, realizing safer development of an airbag by preventing the airbag from inflating inwardly and contacting with an occupant's body during development of the airbag at the time of side collision. <P>SOLUTION: The side airbag device 10 attached to the seat comprises an airbag main body 12 attached to an outside face of a seat back frame 11a in a seat back outside region of an automobile and developed by breaking a seat skin 11c forward inside a seat back pad 11b.
