<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient polymer dispersed liquid crystal display device which is free from involvement of air bubbles in the liquid crystal cell, and a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the polymer dispersed liquid crystal display device having the polymer dispersed liquid crystal sealed in between a pair of substrates, the step to seal in the polymer dispersed liquid crystal is characterized by having: an injection step to insert an end of an injection tube 11 connected to a dispenser 12 between a pair of transparent substrates 1, 2 holding a prescribed gap in between and placed opposite to each other, and to inject an amount of a mixed solution 7 of a liquid crystal and a polymer resin larger than that to be sealed in between the transparent substrates 1, 2 into the liquid crystal cell via the injection tube 11; a pressing step to press the pair of transparent substrates 1, 2 in the state of being placed opposite to each other subsequent to taking out of the injection tube 11 from the space between the pair of transparent substrates 1, 2; and a phase separation step to make the phases of the liquid crystal and the polymer resin be separated from each other with light irradiation in the state in which the pair of transparent substrates 1, 2 is pressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
