<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oscillating wave motor that does not require pressurizing mechanisms including a spring and whose structure can be simplified and miniaturized. <P>SOLUTION: An oscillating wave motor 1 comprises a vibrating body (1-5) provided with laminated piezoelectric elements 1, 2 that have hysteresis characteristics in impressed voltage-strain property, and a moving body 6 that pressure-contacts the vibrating body and that is made to move by the oscillations that occur to the vibrating body. In this vibrating wave motor, a DC voltage is impressed in such a way that residual strain of a predetermined value or larger occurs to the piezoelectric elements 1, 2, the impressed DC voltage is reduced, and an AC voltage is impressed to the piezoelectric elements 1, 2 having a predetermined value or larger in the hysteresis range, when driving the oscillating wave motor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
