<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seat belt control device reduced in the number of parts items by eliminating necessity of providing a means for alarming a failure related to a seat belt. <P>SOLUTION: This seat belt control device has two or more kinds of seat belt winding function such as a winding function A for winding when probability of a collision is previously detected, a looseness eliminating function B for winding when fastening a seat belt, and a housing support function C for winding when releasing the seat belt. A failure detecting unit 40 detects the vehicle information, which is necessary to realize each of the winding functions A-C, from a vehicle information detecting unit 20, and diagnoses a failure of each of the winding functions A-C, and in the case wherein a diagnosis that the winding function A is failed is done, a control unit 10 stops other winding function B or C except the failed winding function. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
