PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator in which a movable range for attaining a constant output is widened by lowering contact pressure at the contact part of a moving element and a guide way thereby preventing uneven wear. SOLUTION: Reluctance is made uneven in the circumferential direction for at least one of opposing surfaces Y1 and Y2 of first and second yokes 5 and 6 opposing the circumferential surfaces P1 and P2 of a plunger 7 in which a flux acting surface is formed through conduction so that the combined magnetic force acting in the radial direction of the moving element is biased to the radial one end E1 side.
