PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner transporting apparatus realizing down sizing and bringing down of cost without sacrificing the toner transporting performance. SOLUTION: The toner transporting apparatus is provided with a first transporting path provided with a toner transporting means inside and a waste toner transporting pipe (a second transporting path) 60 installed to be approximately orthogonal to the first transporting path. The toner transporting means is provided with a transporting screw 102 consisting of an elastic body which is rotated and driven from an upstream side in the transporting direction and a shrinkage restricting member 103 which is provided on an end part on the downstream side in the transporting direction of the transporting screw 102 for restricting the shrinkage of the transporting screw 102. The shrinkage restricting member 103 is engaged to an end face of a downstream side end part 700a in the first transporting path and the rotating direction of the shrinkage restricting member 103 is approximately matched to the toner transporting direction in the transporting path of the waste toner transporting pipe 60.
