PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of degradation of search speed because the database which is accessed when recording a video is identical with that accessed when searching the video. SOLUTION: In the video search system, video recording device 101 which records a video data acquired from a camera is connected to a video search device for searching and reproducing of the video data recorded in the video recording device through a communication network. The video recording device 101 comprises a metadata transmission means 209 which records the metadata of the video data generated based on the image feature quantity extracted from video data and the attribute information in association with the video data while transmits it to the video search device, and a video data transmission means 211 which transmits the video data that meets a specified video search condition to the video search device based on a transmission request from the video search device.
