PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous girder-type girder structure which enables a reduction in weight and the labor savings of work on a job site, and a construction method for the girder structure. SOLUTION: A bridge girder 11, which comprises a precast concrete girder section 13 formed in an approximate U-shape in a cross-sectional view and a floor slab section 14 for closing a top surface of the girder section 13, is laid across three or more bridge piers 12 etc., so as to form a plurality of spans. The girder section 13 is formed of supporting point girder sections 13a etc. which are placed on the bridge piers 12 etc., respectively, and span girder sections 13b etc. for connecting the girder sections 13a and 13a together; prestress is longitudinally introduced into the upper edge of the girder section 13a; and prestress is longitudinally introduced into the lower edge of the girder section 13b.
