PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low sulfur light oil composition excellent in oxidation stability without adding an antioxidant. SOLUTION: This light oil composition is provided by having≤50 mass ppm content of sulfur,≤8.0 vol.% total of the sum of contents of naphthene benzenes and fluorenes,≥0.5 vol.% and≤3.0 vol.% content of naphthalenes and≤3 oxidation stability index Y expressed by formula,≤1 ratio of the contents of the fluorenes to naphthalenes and≤0.2 ratio of the contents of the fluorenes to naphthene benzenes. The formula is Y=2.9×[the content of fluorenes (vol.%)]+0.016×[the content of the naphthene benzenes (vol.%)]-0.73×[the content of the naphthalenes (vol.%)]. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
