PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper loading device capable of securing the maximum loaded amount of paper without allowing the paper upper surface part of a loaded paper bundle to be collapsed even if a paper loading member is drawn out when the paper bundle is taken out in case the paper loaded on the paper loading member has an upwardly curling nature. SOLUTION: In order to limit the height of the paper bundle 2 from a paper lower surface part 19 to a paper upper surface part 20 in consideration of curl occurring upward beforehand, the fixing position of a paper capacity detection sensor 16 mounted on a lift base member 4 is moved vertically upward beforehand.
