PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe sheet post-processing device by solving problems in a conventional very dangerous device wherein a tray may be raised while fingers are caught between a sheet guide and a tray or a loaded sheets due to the sheets collapsed when the sheets are taken out. SOLUTION: When the fingers are caught between the sheet guide 5 for arranging the sheets 4 loaded on the tray 6 of the sheet post-processing device in the lateral direction and the tray 6 or the loaded sheets, the sheet guide 5 is moved upward to push up a protective cover 12 so as to operate the opening/closing detection switch 13 of the protective cover 12 in order to stop the operation of the tray 6.
