<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver salt photograph-like glossy inkjet recording medium which has an excellent clarity of a dye ink image and best-suitability for continuous printing because of the remote occurrence of image feathering or color tone change, even in case of an overlay with the recording medium right after printing. <P>SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing an inkjet recording medium with a porous ink acceptance layer comprises (a) a process "a" to apply to the surface of a base material, an aqueous coating material containing a micropigment and a hydrophilic resin which forms a hydrogel by irradiating an aqueous liquid with activation energy beams, and then hydrogelatinize the aqueous coating material coating layer by irradiation with the activation energy beams, (b) a process "b" to apply a coating liquid containing at least a chemical compound with a cationic nature to the surface of the layer formed by the process "a", and if necessary, (c) a process "c" to apply a coating liquid for a glossy layer containing at least the micropigment to the surface of the formed layer, press the coating liquid layer for the glossy layer with a press roll so as to allow this layer to come into contact with a glossing roll, and form the glossy layer by drying the coating liquid layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
