PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection device constituted so as to inspect a mouth part of a container with high precision and high efficiency by suppressing the effect of the shape feature of the mouth part of the container exerted on inspection precision. SOLUTION: The mouth part inspection device of the container is provided with: the illumination device 6 arranged along at least a part of the mouth part 5 of the container 2 to irradiate the mouth part 5 with illumination light 14 including a wavelength which excites the mouth part 5; an imaging means 10 for detecting the exciting light 16 produced in the mouth part 5 to acquire the image of the mouth part 5 formed by the exciting light 16; and a filter means 9 for excluding the effect exerted on the image of at least a part of the component of a wavelength region other than the wavelength of the exciting light 16.
