PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speed governor of a roll-up curtain which is assembled simply and where the cost for manufacture is reduced by constituting a rotary speed increasing mechanism of spur gears so as to simplify the structure of a component single body and the whole device. SOLUTION: The speed governor 12 of the roll-up curtain is provided with: a one-way clutch 14 which is externally fitted and mounted to a rotary shaft 5 penetrating inside of a casing 13 rotatably, where the roll-up direction of the rotary shaft 5 is free and which is integrally rotated in the lowering direction of the curtain 2; a braking mechanism 15 arranged at a position in the vicinity of the clutch 14 and generating braking force in proportion to the number of revolution of an input shaft; and a rotary speed increasing mechanism 16 accelerating and transmitting the rotation of the clutch 14 to the input shaft of the braking mechanism 15.
