PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily attach the lower end part of a back board to a backrest support rod without using a screw or a specially manufactured attaching member or the like. SOLUTION: In the attaching structure of the back board in a chair composed by attaching the back board 11 to a back frame 2 formed by connecting the upper ends of a pair of left and right backrest support rods 4 erected from the rear part of a seat 8 by a horizontal connecting rod 5, support shafts 18 are projected inwards on inner side faces facing each other at the lower end parts of the left and right backrest support rods 4, upward recessed holding grooves 17 opened to the outer side part and lower part, which are provided on both left and right side part lower ends in the back board 11, are fitted to both support shafts 18, and the upper end part of the back board 11 is fixed to the upper appropriate part of the back frame 2.
