<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for reducing leakage current due to contamination such as body fluid which reduces the insulating property of a guide wire assembly in the guide wire assembly. <P>SOLUTION: The method and device for reducing leakage current in the guide wire assembly are so formed that conductor members 707 and 708 are disposed at a connector end of the guide wire 702 to come into an electrical contact with conducting wires 705 and 706 of the guide wire, signals are thus sent to an external device via the conducting wires, and the conductor members are separated by at least one insulator 709. The conductor members are separated with at least one insulating body 709.
