PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve printing quality by reducing bleed between colors. SOLUTION: The method of reducing bleed between colors in an inkjet printing process includes a step of detecting an edge between a black portion and color portion of an image to be printed wherein the edge is disposed in a region of color pixels and black pixels to be printed in a first configuration of drops, a step of modifying the first configuration of drops of the object to be printed in the region to obtain a second configuration of drops of the object to be printed wherein the second configuration of the drops of the object to be printed has comparatively large drops and comparatively small drops, and a step of printing the image by ejecting the drops from a printhead based on the second configuration wherein the print head has nozzles for performing ejection operations of the drops and the sizes of the nozzles are corresponding to the comparatively large drops and comparatively small drops.
