<p>The inventive intermittent detonation combustion engine comprises a body containing a combustion chamber provided with an input, an annular channel provided with an input and output, a converter which is used for converting the working medium internal energy into a thrust force mechanical work and is embodied in the form of a gas-dynamic resonator (1), a detonation initiating mechanism (10) and an annular nozzle for supplying a fuel mixture. Said combustion chamber is embodied in the form of a hemispherical gas-dynamic resonator (1) and the engine blast pipe (2). The detonation initiating mechanism (10) is embodied in the form of a tube which is closed on one end thereof and whose free end is connected to the middle of the hemispherical gas-dynamic resonator (1), at the following relation: V<SUB>1</SUB>/V<SUB>2</SUB> = 2L/R, wherein V<SUB>1</SUB> is a detonation product velocity, V<SUB>2</SUB> is a fuel mixture feeding speed, 2L is two lengths of the detonation initiating mechanism and a resonator radius and R is the radius of a supersonic annular nozzle. Said invention makes it possible to reduce the mass and overall dimensions under conditions of substantial centrifugal forces and to increase the engine operating reliability and efficiency under said conditions.</p> |
