The traffic moving in the opposite direction can be made aware of a dangerous situation at night when additional brake lights (4, 5) are positioned at the front (2) of a vehicle (1). The lamps can be accommodated in already existing housings (4, 5) together with the indicator lamps laterally beside the bonnet. More lamps (7) could be positioned at the sides (6) of a vehicle (1) which is fitted with lateral indicators (7).
