The apparatus has a torque proofly arranged X-ray emitter (1) and a rotatably supported flat detector (5), where the emitter includes a rotatable node (2). An extended calibration device provides calibrated images for different rotation of the flat detector in relation to the X-ray emitter. A complete calibration data record is provided with a gained image and pixel defective file for every rotatable position of the flat detector.
