<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant restraining system capable of maintaining the optimum posture of an occupant for stable driving operation. <P>SOLUTION: A pre-crush seat belt device is connected to a spring-up hood device, which detects or foresees collision of a vehicle and springs up a hood for a vehicle. In case wherein the spring-up hood device detects collision (step S1) and springs up the hood for a vehicle (step S2), an operating signal is transmitted to the pre-crush seat belt device (step S3). With this structure, the pre-crush seat belt device operates to wind up the seat belt (step S5) in response to the detection of the hood spring-up operation (step S4), and corrects posture of the occupant. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
