<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety device of a battery capable of improving safety of the battery by discharging the pressure outside of the battery when the internal pressure of the battery becomes a set pressure or more. <P>SOLUTION: The safety device of a battery comprises a pressure discharge unit 410 which is provided in the cell 400 and by which the pressure is discharged when the internal pressure of the cell becomes a set pressure or more and a space formation cap 700 which covers the pressure discharge unit 410 and inside of which a space portion is formed. In one of embodiment aspect, the safety device of a battery is provided with a pressure discharge unit which is provided in the cell and by which the pressure is discharged when the internal pressure of the cell becomes a set pressure or more and a space portion which forms a prescribed space in the cover member covering a protection circuit assembly jointed to the cell, and the space portion is located at the inner side face of the pressure discharge unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
