<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer replenishing container which prevents a developer from scattering, in a worst case, by locking a shutter member even when the container is detached from an image forming apparatus while rotation of an opening and closing member is insufficient. <P>SOLUTION: The developer replenishing container is mounted as detachably attachable in an image forming apparatus and includes an aperture to discharge a developer and a shutter member to seal the aperture to be opened or closed as desired. The shutter member has a lock portion to be released by interlocking with mounting operation. The lock portion is again locked by interlocking with detaching operation. The shutter member comprises a first lock portion which is locked in a first position sealing the aperture and which can not move in a direction of seal opening direction, and a second lock portion which is locked in a second position in the seal opening direction than the first position but still keeping the shutter member to seal the aperture and which can not be moved in the seal opening direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
