<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device constituted to prevent horizontal stripes or vertical stripes from appearing when a pixel electrode is provided with a V-notch by making the forms of two pixels adjacent one above the other exactly coincident with each other, and making the aperture ratios of the pixels exactly coincident with each other so that the electrical and optical characteristics of the two pixels are prevented from changing. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes the pixels PX which are arrayed in a matrix and respectively include first and second sub-pixels, first gate lines GLa which are connected to the first sub-pixels PXa and transmit a first gate signal, second gate lines GLb which are connected to the second sub-pixels PXb and transmit a second gate signal, and data lines DL which are intersected with the first and second gate lines, are connected to the first and second sub-pixels and transmit a data voltage.
