PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens driving device realizing the miniaturization of a lens unit and the miniaturization of optical equipment because of an optical system to perform a zoom function and a focus function by the same lens group. SOLUTION: The movable 1st and 2nd lens holding frames 34-1 and 34-2 of the optical system to perform the zoom function and the focus function by the same lens group by the rotation of a cam ring 60 with respect to a fixed lens holding frame 34-4 by the driving of a zoom motor 64 are moved in an optical axis direction with the rotation of the cam ring so as to perform zooming. A 1st cam follower driving member 50 having a 1st cam follower 48-1 engaged with the 1st cam 62-1 of the cam ring is provided in the 1st lens holding frame 34-1. The 1st cam follower driving member 50 is displaced by the strain of a driving element provided in the 1st cam follower driving member 50 without rotating the cam ring 60, whereby the 1st lens holding frame 34-1 is moved in the optical axis direction so as to perform focusing.
