PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a masking adhesive which has a masking property and an adhesive property, can be coated on the lamination of a substrate to a transparent film to form the masking adhesive layer therebetween without needing an intermediate masking layer (film, paper or the like) which has been essential for the lamination. SOLUTION: This masking adhesive comprises a resin comprising a polymer having at least two active hydrogen atoms, an average mol. wt. of 3,000 to 50,000 and a glass transition temperature of≤5°C, an inorganic pigment and a multi-valent isocyanate compound, wherein the polymer is contained in a solid amount of≥40 wt.% based on the resin, and the inorganic pigment is contained in a solid amount of 7 to 20 wt.% based on the resin.
