PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a covering body for an impression cylinder or an intermediate cylinder in a printer, polluted little with sticking of ink, easy to be cleaned and high in durability, and to provide a printing device. SOLUTION: The covering body for the impression cylinder, the intermediate cylinder or a guide roller is characterized in that a composite covering coat 14 consisting of a porous ceramics thermal sprayed layer 12 or a hard base layer with fine unevenness, and a low surface energy resin layer 13 formed on the surface and in the pore parts of the ceramics thermal sprayed layer, is formed on the surface of a plate-like or sheet-like material. The covering body may be provided in a form of a covering body windable on a roller by forming the composite covering coat on a flexible metal plate, or in a form of a simpler covering body by using an inorganic particle layer composed of ceramics powder, glass beads, or the like instead of the ceramics thermal sprayed layer, and forming a composite covering coat consisting of the inorganic particle layer and the low surface energy resin layer, on a base material such as a synthetic resin film or a waterproofed paper.
