BASE STATION, MOBILE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND SCRAMBLING CODE SETTING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base station, a mobile communication system and a scrambling code setting method capable of automatically setting a scrambling code that a base station should use.

SOLUTION: This base station is provided with a scrambling code setting means for setting a base station identifier and a tentative down-scrambling code that is tentatively assigned and a transmitting means for distributing and transmitting the base station identifier by the tentative down-scrambling code, wherein the scrambling code setting means determines a permanent down-scrambling code on the basis of a reception report of the base station identifier.
