<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device for pedestrian capable of preventing inclusion of a pedestrian by ensuring the braking and the steering of front wheels of a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: In the airbag device S for pedestrian, an inflatable airbag 10 is stored in a vehicle body 1 on the forward side of front wheels 6 of a vehicle V, and the airbag 10 is inflated so as to prevent inclusion of a pedestrian from the forward side when the airbag is operated. The airbag 10 is arranged so as to maintain the contact state with a road surface GL of the front wheels 6 while enabling the braking and the steering of the front wheels 6 when the inflation is completed, ensure the internal pressure to press a lower surface 11a side against the road surface GL while preventing inclusion of the pedestrian, and be inflated to cover a space between the road surface GL and a lower side of a front end 1a of a vehicle body 1 on the forward side of the front wheels 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
