PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of controlling debugging which can be applied to a multiprocessor system without adding a large modification to a debugger for a single processor system. SOLUTION: When a command from the debugger 11 is received within a predetermined time (S1), the command is set up as a control command (S4), and whether the control command is a program execution control command is checked (S5). When it is the program execution control command, it transmits it toward a CPU board 2, monitors the processor which has sent the control command, and waits for the execution of the program only for a predetermined time. When the program does not stop during the predetermined time, time-out is performed, and it returns to the step S1, and waits for the command reception from the other debugger 11.
